Eh, not bad lah!

Survival cooking is probably one of the fastest ways to see team dynamics in action.

This is when people suddenly reveal skills that never made it into their CV.

Some immediately take over the cooking area.

Some get extremely serious about collecting firewood — suddenly looking like they’re on Survivor.

Some hold a stick and somehow end up giving instructions.

And of course, there’s always that one person who disappears for 20 minutes and reappears exactly when the food is ready.

What we noticed — people rarely discuss who should do what.

Somehow everyone just finds their place.

The loud ones aren’t necessarily the ones cooking.

The quiet ones aren’t necessarily doing nothing.

And the ones laughing the most are sometimes doing the most work.

Then everyone sits down and the standard response comes:

Eh, not bad lah!

Even though everyone knows the rice could probably be used as building material.

We're not sure whether this is organisational behaviour or people just being hungry.
